About Pandu College
Pandu College is a public college established on September 5, 1962, & affiliated with Gauhati University. Pandu College is NAAC accredited with a B grade under the revised accreditation framework (RAF) and ISO 9001-2015 certified college.
Pandu College courses are offered in arts, science, commerce, and computer applications at higher secondary, graduate and postgraduate level. Apart from regular degree courses, the college has a distance learning centre, Pandu College IGNOU study centre. The centre offers courses in B.Com, M.Com, PGDDM (post-graduate diploma in disaster management), and MA among others.
There are 22 departments at the college in arts, commerce, and science streams.
Pandu College admissions are based on merit or entrance test dependent on the level of course. The admissions application form has to be submitted online through the Pandu College official website. For admissions, students must submit the documents required by the college.
Pandu College placements are managed by the placement cell which was founded in 2001. The objective of the cell is to provide students with good job opportunities to start their professional careers after graduation. The Pandu College placement cell is a team of highly qualified professionals and is headed by the principal of the college.
Pandu College faculty are highly experienced professionals, who have completed their PhDs and are also heading various research projects. Some of the best works of the faculty members at Pandu College are published in national and international journals. Pandu College campus facilities involve hostels, a cafeteria, a library, a common instrumentation facility, and different administrative buildings. The campus houses three hostels, each with a capacity of accommodating 158+ students. The college is situated on the periphery of Nilachal Hills.
